Los Angeles–While the gospel music community morns the death of singing phenom Tisa Willis, her family has acquired the services of a private investigator to peruse some highly suspicious circumstances surrounding her caregiver Clifford Lee Fuller.
Fuller, a convicted felon with a shady background, moved into the gospel singer’s home a few months prior to her death and somehow managed to become her power of attorney without ever notifying the family.
Even more disconcerting, Fuller changed the locks on the doors shortly after moving in and refused to allow family and close friends to visit or speak with Tisa.
Family members are convinced that Tisa would never refuse to see any of her family members without being under some form of duress.
Family members says Fuller kept evading questions about whether or not Tisa had a life insurance policy.Suspicions heightened when Fuller told the family that Tisa told him that she wanted her body cremated immediately after her funeral. However, individuals close to Tisa made it known on more than one occasion that she didn’t believe in cremation after death. The family suspects foul play.
The family was further outraged when they learned that Bishop Charles E. Blake and the staff at Wes Angeles Church of God In Christ has been allowing Fuller to make funeral arrangements at his church despite the strong disapproval of Tisa family.
“If Bishop Blake think for one second that he’s gonna let that crook have my first born’s funeral at that church against my will, he has another thing coming” said Tisa’s mother, Rev. Willie Mae Lewis.
‘No reasonable pastor would go against the desires of a grieving mother and side with a so-called power of attorney who’s not in good standings with the family of the deceased. When caregivers start talking about cremating bodies and changing locks on doors, and they just happen to have a criminal past, red flags tend to go up and you can’t go on with business as usual” said the private investigator (who spoke to us in anonymity).
The private investigator says he’s very confidant that he’ll get to the bottom of this and ascertain all the pertinent information he needs.
